President Barack Obama and First Lady Michelle Obama
Last night 4 out of 5 free-to-air television channels in Australia televised President Barack Hussein Obama being sworn in as the 44th President of the United States of America.

The first coverage started at 11pm AEST, I sat up till 4.15am watching history unfold, luckily I had a cat-nap late in the afternoon the previous afternoon, so I wasn't too zonked getting up at 7.30am to go to work.

I visited the homes of 3 elderly clients and each had their television sets on during the day watching the coverage/replays.

Amazing and uplifting.

ps I absolutely loved Aretha Franklin's hat . I want a sparkly one just like hers :o)
