The JATWC has issued a tsunami alert, declaring a "potential tsunami threat" for Queensland, NSW, Victoria, Tasmania, Lord Howe Island and Norfolk Island.

Beaches along the eastern seaboard of Australia were closed today because of the Earthquake in Chile and the resulting Tsanami that was thought may have some impact on the local beaches.

So while I was running errands today,
I went along to The Entrance Beach to take some photos.

Beach closed due to Tsanami warning
as a result of Chile earthquake.
Lifesavers sitting around feeling bored, the beach is usually crowded on a Sunday morning. Lots of stickybeaks driving down to the Central Coast beaches but all they are seeing is flat surf - low tide.

My dogs have started to yap as there is some local thunder, we have had quite a few thunder/lightning storms this summer and the dogs and cat have become very jittery.

Friday has come around again.

Tomorrow, Saturday, I have to be up early to have my car serviced as its only 8 months old there going to do the deed while I wait. yay.

I am trying to update my 30yo kitchen on a budget. I picked up a kitchen planner charts from Bunnings the other week and between painting the pantry which is staying where it is and moving little piece of squares around on the chart. I hope to get an idea of how the finished kitchen will look.

This project is going to take some time as paying off my car doesn't leave me much moolah left over for a 'dream kitchen' but I am going to persevere and hopefully I end up with something I will have fun cooking in.

I dropped into Ikea with my daughter a couple of months ago and liked their freestanding kitchen benches and cabinets but only because I like to move furniture around a room when I get bored with a layout, not sure if it would work with a kitchen. Ikea have a house planner you can download from their site so will have a bit of fun.

One thing I know I will be getting rid of will be the cooktop and separate wall oven such a waste of space and I think it will be easier to replace a free standing stove (in fact I know it does, because if I had only needed to replace a stove this kitchen would be already updated.) To get rid of the cooktop I'm having to remove the cabinet it resides in and the wall oven removal leaves a dirty great empty space in its pantry-size cabinet.

Decision, decisions.........................

Update: I just went onto ebay and saw a free standing kitchen ..yuk.. back to the drawing board.

This morning, Saturday,
I bathed the dogs,
Bailey and Kahlua,
clipped their fur
and filed their nails.

This afternoon
I mowed the lawns,
pruned the shrubs
and finally
washed the car.

I'm done.

I found this image
on a site but lost the site name when my post on Saturday fluffed up, it came via a Twitter link.

Persistence pays off.
Yay..went back over my viewing history on Sunday found the site. which has some awesome wallpapers

Finally back in business. I haven't been able to post for the last few days -- as the posting box was on a loop and wouldn't let me type. You see I updated the new editor as per instructions -

How to enable the new editor

To enable the new editor, first navigate to your blog's Settings | Basic tab. Near the bottom of the page you will see a field called Select Post Editor, and from there you simply need to select Updated Editor and save your settings. That's it!"

Sorry Not Quite - I went back to Setting, Basic and changed back to old editor and wallah (!) the posting box stopped looping and I'm back. Yahoo.
