Haven't been on for a while, just sorting through how I want my life to develop. So far, I have been distancing myself away from a group of friends I seem to have outgrown. Same old same old.

A couple of months ago I met an old friend from 10 years ago who invited me along to a new group he had started, we meet up on Friday evenings to have dinner together and some head off to various clubs to watch and listen to music.

This seems to be more my fit. I have met some lovely people and have been invited along to a Coffee and Chat group and another social group which travel down to Sydney to visit art galleries and museums and do ferry trips. Oh! a fellow I met told me about a local camera group. Its all happening.

A local single's group raised $130.00 hosting a morning tea with
 more money donated online.

It's a fun way to raise money for cancer research, prevention
and support services for cancer patients and their families.

Aussie Bloggers Conference 2011

I had a truly fabulous day yesterday met up with some lovely bloggers (like meeting celebrities) who I had been commenting with online and chuckling over their Tweets over the years. Completely forgot to take photos as the conference was so well run, I had to concentrate on who was speaking and watching the room's activities. Loved the meet'n'greet game at the start

Maybe someone else can list all contents as I've had to call in the SES because the ceiling in my bedroom now has a hole in it as a result of the horrendous deluge of rain we have had these past two days in Sydney and the NSW Central Coast. More here

The JATWC has issued a tsunami alert, declaring a "potential tsunami threat" for Queensland, NSW, Victoria, Tasmania, Lord Howe Island and Norfolk Island.

Beaches along the eastern seaboard of Australia were closed today because of the Earthquake in Chile and the resulting Tsanami that was thought may have some impact on the local beaches.

So while I was running errands today,
I went along to The Entrance Beach to take some photos.

Lifesavers sitting around feeling bored, the beach is usually crowded on a Sunday morning. Lots of stickybeaks driving down to the Central Coast beaches but all they are seeing is flat surf - low tide.

My dogs have started to yap as there is some local thunder, we have had quite a few thunder/lightning storms this summer and the dogs and cat have become very jittery.
