Jeans for Genes The Sydney Opera House is lit up in blue for “Jeans For Genes” day, an inititive by the Children’s Medical Research Institute to raise money for kids with genetic abnormalities.
Do you remember the scene in the plane in Barry McKenzie Hold His Own, where Aunt Edna says, "You know, Barry, I once slept with the Prime Minister of Australia." "Really, Aunt Edna?" "Yes. It was during the third act of War and Peace at the Sydney Opera House."
It's years since I saw it, too, but that made a big impression on me. Remember Gough Whitlam meeting them at the airport? My, that seemed like a big thing back then.
