If you don't change this setting in Facebook than people can locate you, your home or where you currently are situated. Not very safe, especially if you have young children/teens in the house.
River: I keep in touch with family via FB have recently made contact with cousins in Melb I hadn't seen for a while. I have little personal info on there.

I've never really liked Facebook, now I'm even more glad that I don't have it.
